Print out your Digital Coupons List
Dollar General is the one store famous for not getting any reception in. Don’t be caught in store trying to figure out what coupons you loaded to your account and the sizes they include. Print out your list of digital coupons and bring it with you. I would even suggest writing the sale price for the items you know are on sale next to them to keep you organized.
Shop Unadvertised Deals
Sure Dollar General has a weekly ad that offers many sales during the week that are great and you should totally check that first. But did you know that you can often find many great every day prices and even some unadvertised sales? Often we will see many sales hold over from a previous weeks sale. The ad may advertise them as ending that week, but when shopping in the store you may find the end date different on the shelf tag. You can find many deals this way just by walking around your store and checking.
Know Your Coupon Policy
This is important no matter where you coupon at. You must be familiar with the stores coupon policy. The coupon policy tells you what they allow at the store. It’s important to know it and even maybe print it out to keep with you when you shop. Sometimes you can get employees that tell you what you can and can’t do and they may be wrong. Knowing the coupon policy will save you from possibly lucking out on something that you should be able to save on. You can view the coupon policy here.
Watch Sales Tags
If your store is good and keeps up with tags then it’s going to make your life so much easier. Dollar General often runs great instant savings offers and money back offers like the P&G offer shown above. They typically advertised these in the weekly ad, but often the offers run for more than a week. If you forget to write down the end date for these, then it will be handy when they are actually on the shelves in the store so you can see the savings. If your store is not good at doing this you can either write the end dates down or check out our list of instant savings and offers with end dates that we try to keep updated for your ease!
